It’s way passed my bed time. I really should be asleep, or at the very least in bed. However, I got sucked into watching the Behind the Needle series put out by Zeitgeist Magazine. Behind the Needle was filmed at the International London Tattoo Convention in September 2011. I’ve linked you to the section on Zeitgeist’s website where they have all three parts of the series-which are all a little under ten minutes, as well the opening of the series. It starts off with a run down of the convention, showing us around the convention, and with tattooers giving their input about the show and their thoughts. From there, Several tattooers are interviewed, including Chad Koeplinger, Jason Donahue, and Ryan Mason among others. We get to hear a little bit about their background, their styles, etc. It’s quick, entertaining, and part three was interesting because the tattooers discuss their opinions on the popularity of tattooing.
