I’m currently jamming the Drive soundtrack and trying hard not to dance in me seat. With that said, tonight I’ll be talking about the amazing Tron. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Tron, she currently tattoos out of Thicker Than Water Tattoo in Manhattan with the likes of Ashley Love and Andy Perez, among others.  It’s a great shop with some very talented tattooers, and Tron definitely runs with the best of them.

Tron’s tattoos and flash are usually really cool to see. Between her internet meme and In Living Color themed flash, as well as brightly colored tattooed, Tron adds a unique-and sometimes funny-flair to her designs, all the while staying within the perimeters of what defines a traditional tattoo-thick outlines, heavy shading, etc.I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her two separate sheets of Jawbreaker themed flash and tattoos. Does it get any cooler than that? Even though she adds her unique style to her designs, that doesn’t mean she’s incapable of designing something that is clearly reminiscent of an old-school, traditional tattoo or flash. One of my favorite pieces of flash that I’ve seen of hers is a Battle Royal sheet of an eagle and snake; it’s pretty awesome. Here’s some of her work:

Tron’s definitely doing some cool stuff, and you should get tattooed by her if you’re from NYC, or anytime you’re in the tri-state area. Check out Tron’s Tumblr. She will usually sell paintings and what not, so keep an eye out for those if you are into the stuff she paints. According to her Tumblr, she’ll being getting a Big Cartel store up and running soon, so keep your eyes peeled. Hit up Thick Than Water Tattoo and make yourself an appointment with Tron, or at least one of the other very talented tattooers that currently work there. I’m gonna go finish watching the remainder of the Yanks and Red Sox game (my other interest that I nerd out for). Ten year anniversary of YES, motherlicker. Thanks for reading. Enjoy.
