I had meant to make a post about Tattoo Nation quite sometime ago. But like most things these days, it got pushed to the side for one reason or another. At any rate, this film looks really great, and I’m quite excited for it. The documentary is going to focus on that fine-line, black and grey style of tattooing that emerged from LA from prison tattooing, but was pioneered commercially by the likes of Jack Rudy and Freddy Negrete at Good Time Charlie’s. Also, my man Danny Trejo is in it. That’s just another reason to want to check it out.
I was hoping that this may be showing here in Rochester, but it’s sadly not. Actually, the website doesn’t have any shows listed for NY, which I assume has to be incorrect. Either way, keep your eyes peel for a showing near you. Check out the website for times and locations where you can possibly see the film in theaters. Enjoy.
